First Responder Go Bags

Early this year, we received a call and took a meeting with the City of Burleson Code Enforcement Department/Fire and Police Representatives. They expressed concerns for the citizens that they were serving in emergency situations, not having personal hygiene and house hold cleaning items available. Many of the issues were concerning seniors whose living circumstances were making them at risk for failure to thrive. We worked on the list of most necessary items and created the First Responder Go Bags filled with personal hygiene items to be available all fire and police officers in the city. Velton Ellis, with Empire Storage, provided us space to store the cleaning items. Businesses, social clubs, church families and so many more, have donated products to this cause and in so doing are positively changing the lives of friends and neighbors in need.
